Walks in and around the village of Catrine in East Ayrshire.
Featuring a short historical tour of the village of Catrine and a choice of tranquil riverside walks on the River Ayr, this App has been created by the local residents of Catrine through Catrine Community Trust.
The walks describe the fascinating history of the village, established in 1787 around a huge textile mill driven by some of the largest water wheels ever built. This is an area visited by Robert Burns and rich in the natural history that inspired his songs and poetry.
Once the app has been downloaded just download the walk youre interested in; the maps and audio guides will then work offline without using your data allowance.
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. We advise you to quit the app when finished.
